Michelle Cheng is a litigation partner at the law firm of Reed Smith, a global law firm with 3000 lawyers worldwide. She sits in the Los Angeles office. Michelle primarily works in the healthcare practice group, defending managed care plans, healthcare insurers, and pharmaceutical and medical device companies in connection with their high-stakes commercial and product liability litigation.

 

She has a wide array of experience in private arbitration, and state and trial courts and is well-versed in all aspects of litigation, including trial. Michelle currently serves as the Women's Initiative Chair for the Los Angeles office of her firm, where she facilitates the mentoring, training, and sponsoring of women lawyers in their career advancement and progress.

 

Michelle is a past board member of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California and currently serves on the Board of the Women's Lawyers of Los Angeles. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
